What we do

Parks is a GLBT organisation but, with Italy being well behind other countries on the Diversity agenda, at Parks we support our members in setting up comprehensive diversity strategies and build on the opportunities of a diverse workforce. Setting the context around general Diversity is also instrumental for us to introduce a very innovative and visionary subject for the local market, as “working for GLBT people at work”, in a sensible and clear way.

Parks provides the following services for member companies:

Training – Parks arranges Diversity trainings for Senior Management, Middle Management and Staff. Training Courses cover the full spectrum of Diversity, with a focus on GLBT issues. Parks supports member companies in building and delivering mentoring programmes for their GLBT employees.

Consulting – Parks supports member companies in analysing and setting up HR policies and checking their compliance with the Italian labour legislation, local culture and market practices. It also supports member companies in setting up fair and inclusive compensation & benefits strategies for their GLBT employees. Working at creating an inclusive work environment may limit potential legal risks related to the developing European anti-discrimination legislation.

Communication – Parks supports member companies in putting together and launching communication campaigns for staff members on Diversity, with a focus on GLBT issues. Parks proactively supports member companies in putting together and launching external communication campaigns on their Diversity strategy and partners with them to manage their press relations in order to position them as employers of choice in the Italian labour market, with a focus on the GLBT community.

Branding & Recruiting – Member companies may use Parks’ brand to comunicate their commitment to diversity to the external market. We organise career fairs in the main Italian corporate universities with a focus on GLBT students.

Surveying and Events – Parks plans to launch a yearly index to rank companies as good employers for the GLBT community. We also arrange events and conferences with Italian and foreign speakers.
